Demo Version 3.3.0 Now Publicly Available!


Now that a month has passed, Demo V3.3.0 is now available to everyone! The changes since the last playable version are:

  • Changed wall running logic so that instead of slowing down while wall running, Ebony now speeds up, which means there is now a sweetspot near the end of the wall run to get the maximum speed boost out of it!  This should make gaining speed while wall running feel more fluid yet more skillful with having to time it right to get the most of the acceleration while keeping the terrain in mind to do so, and should also hopefully eliminate odd stoppage bugs that happen when jumping of as soon as you've touched the wall (which the previous system incentivized...)
  • Added the ability to do stunts in the air that can give a huge amount of score if multiple are done in a row before hitting the ground!  Be careful not to do the same direction twice or else you'll get disoriented. Be extra careful not to hit a wall/the ground too soon after doing or while disoriented a stunt, otherwise you'll get stunned and even lose score.  This should allow for greater depth and creativity in score chasing, but also...
  • Mood has returned!  With mid-air stunts, you can now gain Mood from starting a platforming combo chain and then ending it on a stunt combo once you've accumulated enough score.  Having a high Mood (greater than half the positive bar) will make the clock advance half as fast, while having a low Mood (less than half the negative bar) will make the clock advance faster, so try to keep a high Mood as much as possible to make the most out of the day
  • A completely reworked chat system!  Now conversations with friends will consist of multiple Scenarios that you'll have to pass in order to get the most out of talking with friends.  Part of that is completing short platforming minigames, which can get quite hard depending on what you choose. Thankfully, you can use Insights to boost the easiness of the minigames, but be careful about which ones you use as a smaller average score for them will have the bar not last for long.
  • With that, we also have Love Tokens!  Love Tokens are gained randomly after talking with a friend successfully (not if they end up inflating tho, so watch out); you'll be much more likely to get them higher the relationship with them is.  Love Tokens can currently be used to boost the score of papers when writing them, boost the scores of selected Insights (be careful when trying to do more of them), and even be able to deflate early!
  • Speaking of inflating, the new chat mechanics now allow for improvements in the enjoyability in that area: first, you can now control their shape better due to being able to select Insights when encountering an imminent inflation Scenario.  Secondly, the escort minigame has been completely reworked so you instead guide the friend to a safe area of your choosing that doesn't have any crowds; be careful not to lead them into any crowds or leave them behind too far or else they'll get caught out by gawkers who you'll have to chase away to stop them from getting too embarrassed!
  • Both Ebony and her friends can get a belly-centric shape when going spherical!  This now gives a bit more functionality to the Fattening effect, which will make spherical more likely to give higher belly-centric values.
  • You can also now buy a crop top for Ebony to wear!
  • If that all sounds like a lot to lose when the game gets closed, worry not, because there's now a save system!  Currently there's only one slot that can be written to, but it's better than not having anything like before, lol.  Not absolutely everything in the game state is saved, so be mindful of that when saving.
  • And some additional miscellaneous improvements, including: added an input buffer for the sweetspot dive cancel, made the dialog animations additive (some oddities present there still tho), made it so that the chosen inflation shape (before Ebony inflates) is properly kept track of when traveling between maps (and of course the save game), added a starting menu, corrected the Fattening effect so that it will be guaranteed to at least have a noticeable love-handles value, and fixed the softlock that despawned one of the friends who had not been deflated yet and thus preventing from collecting Insight tokens!  You can now freely inflate the other gals together without worry of having to reset (though it's still not in the intended form, so some bits of it might not really work so well, but it at least wont stop the game completely)
